Yes. One of the distinctive features of ownership at Hampshire Hills is that the 999-year licence permits owners to replace their holiday home in the future, subject to the terms of the licence and the Hampshire Hills Estate & Design Guidelines.
This gives owners greater long-term flexibility. Homes, materials, technology and the way we live naturally evolve over time, so rather than the value of the licence being tied indefinitely to one particular holiday home, owners have the opportunity to replace it with a new home in the future.
Because Hampshire Hills operates under a planning regime relating to the use of the land for holiday homes, a replacement home that meets the relevant requirements can be sited without the owner having to obtain the type of full planning permission normally associated with demolishing and rebuilding a conventional house.
It means the 999-year licence is genuinely designed for long-term ownership: your holiday home may change over the decades, while your right to enjoy a holiday home at Hampshire Hills can continue for generations.
