Paused

A quieter form of ownership.

Paused.club creates nature-led holiday home communities for people who want somewhere of their own to slow down, reconnect and spend time differently.

It began with a place people did not want to leave.

Paused.club grew from Shaun and Michele’s experience of creating and caring for Hampshire Hills: a setting repeatedly recognised for its quiet atmosphere, natural beauty and thoughtful hospitality.

They saw that what people valued most was not a long list of facilities. It was the feeling of arriving somewhere calm, looked after and removed from everyday pressure. Somewhere close enough to return to regularly, but different enough to change how a weekend felt.

Paused.club takes that understanding into a new form of holiday home ownership. The aim is to create private countryside communities where architecture belongs to the landscape, owners can express their own style and the shared experience remains protected over time.

About Paused.club

Paused.club creates private, nature-led holiday home communities shaped around thoughtful architecture, protected quiet and a simpler way to escape. Our story begins at Hampshire Hills, the founding location near Winchester and Alresford. The site is entering a new chapter, but the setting itself already has a proven track record for quality, peace and thoughtful hospitality.

Recent recognition includes Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice 2026, Best Small Site in the UK 2026, inclusion in the Top 100 UK Sites Guide 2026, Best Adult-Only Site in South East England 2025, recognition as a UK Top 150 Outstanding Holiday Park 2024, and more than 500 guest reviews averaging 5 stars.

That matters because Paused.club is not starting with an untested place. We are building on a setting already known for its quiet atmosphere, natural beauty, high standards and ability to help people properly switch off – now evolving into a more refined, architecture-led family & pet friendly ownership community.

Hampshire Hills is the first Paused.club location, not the last. Our ambition is to create further communities in distinctive natural settings, each individual in character but united by the same principles of design, nature, quiet and ease.

Luxury should not mean more noise.

For people whose lives are always connected, the greater luxury is often less: less friction, less pressure, less to organise and more space to breathe. That is why Paused.club starts with quiet, nature and place. The property designs, estate services and ownership structure are there to support that feeling, not compete with it.

Place comes first

Every Paused.club community begins with the character of its landscape. The residences should respond to where they stand rather than feel placed upon it.

Personal, not anything-goes

Owners should have meaningful choice, particularly within their interiors, while the estate design framework protects architectural coherence and long-term quality.

Quiet is protected

Clear community principles safeguard the atmosphere, privacy and sense of escape owners are buying into.

Ease is designed in

Optional concierge and estate services are intended to make ownership feel lighter, so arriving is easier and time away is better spent.

Closer to London. Easier to make part of life.

One of Hampshire Hills’ clearest advantages is its location. While many established nature-led holiday home communities require a longer journey from London, Hampshire Hills is approximately an hour away, making spontaneous weekends, extended stays and regular escapes far easier to enjoy. It offers the sense of distance you want from the city, without feeling disconnected from it.

Architecture with a sense of belonging.

The residences at Hampshire Hills are not intended to form a row of identical structures. The property collection will offer different architectural expressions, scales and layouts, united by an estate design framework shaped around the landscape. Materials, forms, rooflines and integrated outdoor spaces will be considered as part of the whole setting. Inside, owners will have the opportunity to shape the atmosphere around how they want to rest, host, work and spend time together.

A carefully selected partner network.

Paused.club is building a network of experienced design, manufacturing and construction partners to support the different residence routes available at Hampshire Hills. Partners will be selected for their ability to work within the estate design and technical requirements, deliver to the expected standard and guide owners through a clear, coordinated process. Partner names and the designs associated with them will be introduced as each launch property is confirmed.

New thinking, grounded in proven care.

Paused.club is new, but Hampshire Hills is not untested. It’s existing reputation, national recognition and consistently strong guest feedback provide a foundation of care, quality and understanding that many new developments need years to build.

The long-term vision is a considered collection of nature-led holiday home communities, each shaped by its own setting and held together by the same principles: protected quiet, architecture that belongs and a more effortless way to spend time in nature.
