Less noise. More nature.
A place to properly switch off.
Paused.club was created from a simple belief: that time spent close to nature changes how we feel. It slows us down. Clears our heads. Brings us back to ourselves.
A vision shaped by experience
The idea behind Paused.club has deep roots in Shaun and Michelle’s own lives. After spending many years in Cape Town, they saw first-hand how powerful regular time in nature can be not as an occasional luxury, but as part of a healthier rhythm of life.
Much of the inspiration for Hampshire Hills came from their experience of owning a holiday home on an eco-country estate around two hours outside Cape Town. Set beside the Theewaterskloof Dam, the estate offered something quietly transformative: panoramic views, open water, mountains, countryside and wildlife, close enough to return to often, yet far enough from the city to feel like a true escape. That balance stayed with them.
Bringing the idea to Hampshire
Hampshire Hills is the beginning of that vision in the UK. A private countryside setting where holiday home owners can return throughout the year, surrounded by nature, quiet and space to breathe. The longer-term vision is to create a carefully considered owners’ park with a small collection of nature-led holiday homes, supported by managed concierge services. A place designed not simply for holidays, but for restoration.
Quiet as a luxury
For Paused.club, luxury is not about more noise, more facilities or more to consume. It is about having somewhere that feels calm, natural and easy to return to. Somewhere close enough to become part of your life, but far enough away to feel like a genuine pause.
Be among the first to own at Paused
A limited collection of nature-led holiday residences will soon be available to own. Thoughtfully positioned within the landscape, each one is designed to make time in nature feel easier, with a place of your own that is ready whenever you need to step away.
